9 Things to Know About Pack Member Lacey Salois

Embracing the stage in life where her children are grown, Pack Member Lacey Salois, age 43, has turned her focus to self care. She is taking the lessons she learned along the way—some the hard way—and building a life that truly serves her.

We recently chatted with Lacey to get to know her better and here’s just some of what we discovered.

When she walks:

Hailing from Bandera, TX, Lacey is up and out early to beat the hot Texas sun and get in her miles—and some time for self care—before her long work day begins.

Which hat will she wear today?

It could be anything from that of a counselor or soap maker, a craft she, her husband and daughter get their hands dirty making and selling at craft shows on the weekends.

She’s gonna need a smaller hat…

Because Lacey has shed 67 pounds by walking and watching what she eats. Now that is something to celebrate!

Her favorite crave?

It’s all about the fruit. Juicy pineapple tops that list!

What else sweetens her life?

Her sweetheart, aka her husband of 23 years about whom Lacey says “as long as she’s by his side, I’m home.” Swoon!

Cue the music, maestro!

Lacey loves jamming to Prince, The Rolling Stones, and Janis Joplin, but because she lives in the “Cowboy Capitol,” there’s also some George Strait and Eric Church on her beloved playlist to which to two-step!

When she’s having “one of those days”...

Time for an emotion check. Leaning in and acknowledging—but not living in them—helps Lacey move on. And then she turns on that playlist and gets to it. Yep, mindset and music are her winning combination!

Quite the page turner…

Crying In H Mart by Michelle Zauner and I Am Watching You by Teresa Driscoll are currently on her nightstand, though she might pick up the remote to binge the entire season of Just Like That or rewatch Sex and The City, a show she absolutely adores!

And lastly, walking has taught her…

“That I CAN do things that I did not think possible. If I just push myself outside of that comfort zone a little more each time, remarkable things happen.”
